Many of the herbs we take to improve our health can also be given safely to our pets with the same results.  However, just as there are herbs that human consumption could be fatal, so too, there are herbs that need to be handled with caution with your pet.

Using herbal powder, teas and capsules, you adjust the dosage when administering to your pet.  Dosage for pets vary considerably, and like children, should go by your pet's weight and size.

Give cats and toy poodle size dogs a much smaller dosage
than a dosage prescribed for a large dog.

 

Dogs are more agreeable to swallowing a pill wrapped in cheese, but cats well you know how they can be.

Most dogs are perfectly fine eating their food blended with powdered herbs.

Yucca Root Herb
[Yucca species]
