| Q & S | |
| S | November 13, 2010 You ask about kennel cough, therefore, it is assumed you know the coughing is caused from Bordetella and not caused from heart worms or some other cause. You may have Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) leaves at home among your cooking spices. Thyme's active ingredients contain the essential oils thymol and carvacrol which remedies bronchitis coughing. It loosens thick mucus in the respiratory tract and reduces irritation. Make a tea using 2 teaspoons of Thyme dried herb with boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes, then strain. You may use a dropper bottle to get your pet to drink Thyme tea to treat kennel cough. Herbs n Pets |
